BIOGRAPHY
Louis Shuster,
a native Philadelphian, relocated to South Florida in 1981, establishing
his interior design practice in Fort Lauderdale.
He received a bachelor of arts degree at St. Joseph’s College in
Philadelphia, attended the Delaware Law School, and received his interior
design degree from the Philadelphia College of Art. He is board
certified and state licensed to practice interior design.
Louis is a member of the Board of Governors at the Design Center of the
Americas, has been a board member of the South Florida Chapter of the
International Society of Interior designers (ISID), and a professional
member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
His prestigious firm has been the recipient of the coveted “Guilda”,
an award bestowed by the Interior Design Guild, for Designer of the Year,
for both residential and commercial installations; has garnered the Halo
Lighting Award for excellence in lighting design, and most recently was
recognized at DCOTA’s Night of the Stars, receiving the prestigious “Designer
of Distinction” award.
His signature installations have been
published in local and national publications including Florida Design
Magazine, Metropolitan Home, Veranda, Interior Design, Florida International,
Ocean Drive, The Best of Florida Design, Palm Beach Illustrated, City
and Shore, and Boca Raton Magazine.
Shuster’s notable clientele includes the CEO of The Home Depot,
the owner of the Wolf Camera chain, a prominent New York dress designer,
popular party planner Barton G., renowned chef, Mark Militello, and the
CEO of Family Dollar Stores.
Louis has lectured students of design at Bauder College and Broward
Community College, has been a guest speaker at DCOTA’s Americas
Conference and Fabric Fair, and has judged several design competitions.
